Fighting For The Underdog
Fighting For The Underdog is a documentary that follows the story of the spurdog, a small species of British shark, through the eyes of its stakeholders.
Our next screening is at UWE in Bristol on the 24th of March!
The Premiere…
On October 11th 2024, Everyman Cinema in Bristol was filled with 75 with marine enthusiasts ready to be captured by the story of the Spurdog. We were proudly supported by Two Drifters Rum (a carbon negative distillery) and Karma Drinks (a natural, organic drinks brand) both of which were present in the form of the drinks reception. After which, the sold out launch conceptualised 2 years of work into a 35 minute film. It brought together Kai’s aims of working with stakeholders to promote all voices with equal respect in the world of fisheries using the spurdog as an unlikely example.
Our aim as a charity has always been to bridge the gap between ocean stakeholders and this night was a big step to achieving this. We are now embarking on a UK tour, bringing Fighting For The Underdog to you. Scroll down to find out where we are heading!
